After not playing for awhile I decided to return and give the game another shot, only to find out that AFTER paying that I can't?
Every time I attempt to download the game VIA Installer it just says "An unknown error occured while downloading the installer payload" and forces me to exit.
Tried manually downloading the payloads and .exe also to no avail. Giving the error "Archive extraction failed: 3"
Kaspersky is disabled, Router is opened/firewall disabled, etc ...
Hints or ideas?

Not sure, your issue isn't quite like mine.
I downloaded the payloads perfectly fine, I just can't run them. You were having issues downloading part 2. |

Just formatted and newly installed Windows 7 32bit, guess what ...
STILL DOESN'T WORK!

You don't understand, EVE worked until this latest patch. When I clicked the EVE Shortcut Tuesday/Wednesday it popped up saying it was corrupt and needed a new install. Went through the process of attempting to install in multiple different ways, all failed.
Why would a handful of people all be getting the same error all of a sudden? Highly unlikely that we would ALL have the same Hardware issue within 24 hours of each other ...
Also, how does that link relevant? 64bit =/= 32bit
Also those people were having issues with ESET AV, i'm using Kaspersky as previously stated.
Fresh format/re-installation of Windows7 32bit includes not having ANY AV installed yet, and still failed.
Why would everything else work if it was a Hardware issue?

The PayLoad method is included in the "attempting to install in multiple different ways, all failed"
That is the one that actually gives the "Archive Extraction Failed: 3" error, by trying the Launcher it just says "failed to download payload".

CCP must have updated the files in the last few hours, I just downloaded the files during our conversation (Third set in last 6 hours) using the same Browser/Settings/Situation as the previous ones, they are currently extracting.
Hasn't got that far before, so it's a bonus. Will update if it's successful or not. |
